Ciminna is a place close to my heart and where my mums family originates from. The town offers a unique blend of historical architecture, vibrant local traditions, and breathtaking natural beauty. Through this project, I aim to capture the rich culture and timeless charm of Ciminna, preserving the essence of a place that means so much to me.
Vito
Vito has spent his entire life farming, from tending vineyards to cultivating almonds. Growing up in the small farming village of Ciminna, Sicily, he is now one of the few remaining individuals who still works the land.
Over the years, Vito has witnessed Ciminna’s transformation from a thriving agricultural hub to a nearly forgotten village. With reduced income from farming, many residents have been forced to seek employment elsewhere, moving to Palermo, mainland Italy, America, and Europe, leaving Ciminna and its traditional farming lifestyle behind.
